Cruising AustraliaP&OP&O CruisesP&O Short BreaksShort break cruising Coinciding with their ‘Sail of the Century’ presentation at the World’s Leading Cruise Lines Summit last week, P&O Cruises has announced two new themed short-break cruises for late 2019 and 2020, forming part of the new 2020 program which is the result of growing demand from Australians for short breaks.“Since 2012 the number of guests enjoying a three or four night P&O Cruise has tripled,” said Ryan Tailbel, Vice President Sales and Marketing at the summit. “Short break cruises now account for 40 per cent of our total itinerary mix,” he said.Two dedicated 1980s themed three-night Tribute Cruises will celebrate the best of the MTV generation. The first 1980s tribute cruise will depart Brisbane on 1 February, 2020 with fares starting from $474 quad share. The second sailing departs 3 April, 2020 from Sydney with fares starting from $674 quad share.An inaugural Country Music Festival at Sea short break cruise will celebrate all genres of country music with performances by respected artists. The Country Music Festival at Sea cruise will depart Brisbane on 7 December, 2019.
